Today's Kids

Non-Responsive or Not Responsible?
The other day I was coming home from the post office. I pulled onto my street to see that the middle and high school kids (not mine) had just gotten off the bus. Okay these are NOT babies mind you, they're old enough to be aware of what's going on around them. Old enough to know pedestrians are hit and killed by cars every day. Well you would think so, anyway.

NOPE! They all...I mean seriously all of them, just lazed right on down the middle of the street as though it was their private driveway. Cars began to back up behind me and people started honking to get their attention to move out of the way. They acted like a stupid herd of animals crossing the road that had no idea of any possible danger.

Have our kids become animals because we inacted laws to protect them. In so doing, did we take away parental responsibility to instruct them, turning them into non-responsive animals stripped of even the most basic sense of responsibility; even for their own well being?

WHAT'S UP WITH THIS?
I value your opinion...Comment!
